Zampette adorabili

Sono ripetitiva?
Ecco un altra pagina su Stewie, questa volta sono protagoniste le sue zampette adorabili.
Sarà che lei è la prima gatta che ho avuto, sarà che sono sempre stata convinta, fin dal primo momento, che il nostro incontro sia stato tutt'altro che fortuito (se volete sapere com'è andata, l'avevo raccontato qui), ma io credo che sia stato il destino a farci trovare quel giorno :-D
Insomma io sento esserci un legame particolare... che nulla toglie al bene che voglio agli altri due gattelli, che presto conoscerete perchè voglio assolutamente fare delle pagine anche su di loro, per ricordare il loro carattere, certi episodi e altre cosette che col tempo magari si tende a dimenticare, e io non voglio farlo!!

Here's another page about Stewie, this time it's dedicated to her cute paws.
Maybe it's the fact that she's been my first cat, maybe it's that I think that our encounter was far from fortuitous, in fact I think it was destiny... in conclusion I feel a special bond with her... that doesn't prevent me from loving the other two cats, that will soon be featured in some layouts because I want to save some memories about their personality, some events and other details that risk to be forgotten... and I do not want to forget them!

Stewie's morning routine

Ecco un altro LO basato su uno sketch di Studio Calico nel quale ho incorporato anche elementi delle sfide proposte da ScrapMuch (color palette) e da In the scrap (numeri).
Adoro questo kit, i colori, le fantasie, gli abbellimenti.... vorrei non finisse mai :-)

I love everything about this kit (Arendal): the colors, the fantasies, embellishments.... I would want it to last eternally :-)

Anche questo è dedicato a Stewie, ma bisognerà che ne faccia qualcuno anche con le millemila foto degli altri due gattelli :-)

Sono rimasta indietro e mi sono persa qualche settimana, ma i miei happy places ultimamente hanno incluso....

• serate di musica:

con i "soliti" Hillbilly Deluxe, il gruppo di cover country-rock in cui canto da ormai quasi 8 anni...

con i Nik Perry Blue & The Wouldon Boys (un nome, un programma), il gruppo rock/pop di mia mamma

01/04

con Marco, nuovo progetto musicale, duo acustico folk/pop/blues/soul... prima serata qualche sabato fa, tanta emozione (e agitazione visto che avevo un gran mal di gola), tanta soddisfazione e divertimento...

06/04

e così riscoprire (e riadattare per voce femminile...) dei vecchi brani chiusi in qualche cassettino della mente.....

...e aggiungerne di quelli che ami e ti fanno vibrare le corde dell'anima a sentirli, figuriamoci a cantarli...

Che vita sarebbe senza musica?

e che quasi ci lsciava le penne cadendo dalla finestra (dal primo piano, ma poverina non ci vede bene...)

I've not been posting my happy places lately so I have to sum up the last weeks which have included:

• Music

with Hilbilly Deluxe, the country-rock cover band I've been singing with for almost 8 years

with Nik Perry Blue & The Wouldon Boys, my mom's rock/pop cover band

with my friend Marco we recently put together a folk/pop/blues/soul duet. The first gig was a couple of weeks ago, a mix of emotions, lots of satisfaction and enjoyment.....

We added in the repertoire some old songs and some others that I love listening to, not to talk about singing them...

What would my life be without music?

• Finally picking up the package I won with manu's giveaway... love everything about it!
• Spa with my mom... and being the only people in there
• Pizza with a friend
• Thinking about crafty things to do for the above friend's marriage
• Surfing the web searching a nice dress for the friend's marriange and realizing that in a while I will be free from jackets and sweaters and will finally put on dresses, shorts, tops, sandals...
• Open wide the windows and let air and sunshine in :)
• Go skiing for the last time this season... :(
  The landscape was marvellous even if the weather was terrible
  The video above shows where I usually go... it's near home
• Many other little pleasures and things that make life better and beautiful, which unfortunately I haven't written down
• My little stewie, who is a happy place every day :)
  and who almost risked life and limb falling down the window sill... did you know that it is very dangerous for cats and dogs to bump their nose??

SETTIMANA 3:

1. La monella sul ripiano della cucina...

2. Un nuovo progetto musicale

SETTIMANA 4:

Settimana terribile al lavoro.... e poi dentista, aperitivi, nuove conoscenza, burlesque... si si avete letto bene, ma non immaginate giarrettiere, tacco 12 e boa di struzzo, noi si fa in tuta e scarpe da ginnastica, con l'asciugamano intorno al collo e si suda di brutto.... diciamo che è più una lezione di aerobica un po' ammiccante ;)

 
1 e 2. Panorami del Monte Baldo.... sabato e domenica sulle piste da sci... ci ho preso gusto :)

3. Ho divorato Le prime luci del mattino di Fabio Volo in due sere... La storia è forse un po' banalotta, il finale scontato, è un romanzetto rosa, però devo dire che mi ha lasciata piacevolmente stupita. Se non sapessi che l'ha scritto un uomo direi che l'ha scritto una donna ;)
Qualcuno l'ha letto? Commenti?

SETTIMANA 5:

1. Giornata di ferie usata per fare qualche lavoretto in casa... questa è la mia nuovaparete d'ingresso :)

2. Splendido tramonto...

3. La cucciola :)

WEEK 4: 

A hard week at work... and dentist, aperitifs, new people, burlesque... (just don't imagine garters, high heels and feather boas... we wear tracksuits,towels around the neck and we sweat a lot! It's an aerobics lesson just a bit alluring ;)

1 and 2. Mountain panoramas... I went skiing both on Saturday and Sunday... I'm really coming to enjoy it :)
3.  A new book, finished in two nights


WEEK 5: 

1. I've taken one day off work to make some things at home... this is on the entry wall
2. Wonderful sunset
3. My little girl :)
4. Do I need to explain it? ;)

Questa è una paginetta che avevo quasi dimenticato, fatta durante la mostra scrap dello scorso ottobre 2011 (!!) e terminata oggi....

Bianco o nero…..

Alcuni di voi conosceranno già ormai a memoria la storia di Stewie, che ho raccontato qui e qui…

Però oggi devo ripercorrerla brevemente, poi capirete… lo scorso settembre, a Rovigno, di ritorno dalla corsetta mattutina trovo questo scricciolo… il giorno successivo andiamo dal veterinario che dopo le dovute cure di primo soccorso, ci fa il passaporto

Tornati in Italia andiamo dal mio veterinario di fiducia per proseguire le cure agli occhietti, fare la vaccinazione e tutte le cose necessarie…

Decidiamo che opteremo per la sterilizzazione e ci diamo appuntamento per marzo/aprile…

Ieri era il gran giorno, la mattina tutta agitata consegno trasportino e gatto e me ne vado a lavorare… torno la sera, questo è il dialogo che faccio col mio veterinario…

Veterinario: “Ciao, dimmi”

Io: “sono venuta a riprendere il gatto che ho portato stamattina a sterilizzare…”

V: “…”

Io: “Stewie, il gatto croato”

V: “Ma sai cos’è successo?!?”

Io: “COSA?!???!??!?”
E qui ho avuto 10 secondi di panico, mi è passata la vita di Stewie davanti agli occhi e nella mia testa ho creato tutti gli scenari possibili, tranne quello più ovvio…

V: “E’ UNA FEMMINA!!!!”

….

…….

……...

…………

(Tempo tecnico per metabolizzare la notizia)

I: “Stai scherzando???”

V: “No, ci son rimasto anch’io, sono arrivato al tavolo operatorio convinto di trovare un maschio e invece…”

In sostanza, tutti presi a curarle gli occhi, non ci siamo nemmeno preoccupati di accertarci –veterinario compreso- che fosse effettivamente maschio…

A dir la verità a me e a mamy2 era venuto il dubbio qualche mese fa, però forti delle nostre ricerche su google e wikipedia ci eravamo tolte qualsiasi dubbio…

Insomma non abbiamo un LUI, ma una bellissima LEI… Certo è stato un po’ scioccante, ma è pur sempre lo stesso micio…e poi che bello avere un’altra lei in casa :)

GIRL POWER!!

Il problema ora è il nome, ormai sono mesi che la chiamiamo Stewie e cambiarle nome è impensabile… io ho proposto di declinarlo al femminile pronunciandolo alla francese, stiuì, ma me l’hanno bocciato tutti… :)

I’ve already written about Stewie’s story here and here, but let’s briefly get through it again…

In September I find this little kitten in Rovinj, take it to the vet, who gives the first cures and makes its passport…

Once back home, we go to our vet and we go on with all the medical stuff… we decide for neuterization…

Yesterday was the big day… I took Stewie to the vet in the morning and got back in the evening… this is the dialogue between me and the vet:

Vet: “Hi, come in.”

Me: “I’ve come to take back my cat that you should have neuterized this morning…”

V: “…”

M: “Stewie, the Croatian cat”

V: “Do you know what happened??!?!?!?”

M: “WHAT???!?!?!?!?”
I panicked, Stewie’s life passed in my mind in 10 seconds and I envisioned all the possible scenario, except the real one

V: “IT’S A FEMALE!!”

….

…….

……...

…………

(Time to realize the truth)

I: “Are you kidding me???”

V: “No, I was surprised as well…”

That’s it, we were too busy taking care of her eyes that we didn’t think about verifying its actual sex…

My mom and I actually had a doubt some months ago, but we search for information in the Internet and we finally were pretty sure it was a male….

I was initially rather “shocked” about it, but of course SHE is still my lovely cat, and it’s cool she’s a female, we are now 2 in the house, “girl power” yeah!!

The only problem left is the name… Stewie is not really a female name but we cannot change it, she is now used to it… I proposed a French version of the name, pronounced “Stiuì” but everybody rejected it… :)

Cucciolo, oggi compi sei mesi… riguardo le prime foto che ti abbiamo fatto e mi sembra impossibile che tu ora sia diventato il bel gattone che sei…

I tuoi occhietti malandati, le tue zampine mingherline, e la tua vocina squillante, ce la ricordiamo bene la prima notte che sei stata con noi, tutto sporco e pulcioso!!

Tu volevi la tua mamma, la chiamavi… ma lei non c’era… mi dispiace di averti strappato così bruscamente da lei e dai tuoi fratellini, ma -sai- non avresti avuto vita lunga se ti avessi lasciato dove ti ho trovato. Ma non devi odiare la tua mamma, lei stava facendo solamente quello che le dettava la natura…

E poi, che tenerezza ricordare i primi pasti, con che voracità e avidità mangiavi, usando quelle poche forze che avevi, con entrambe le zampe anteriori immerse nel piatto…

Il primo “bagnetto”… è stato insieme divertente ed emozionante guardare il tuo musetto che ci interrogava…

Poi, ti abbiamo portato a casa (e -dopo averti salvato- nel tragitto in macchina dalla Croazia ti abbiamo quasi intossicato, povera stella…) ed è iniziata la nostra convivenza.

 
Ti sei fatto dei nuovi amici

 
Sei sempre stato un gattino piuttosto vivace e giocherellone… ma pur sempre tenero e coccoloso…

E come dimenticare la prima volta che ti ho messo il guinzaglio e ti ho portato a calpestare l’erba… non sapevi se essere più curioso o spaventato…

Ma dopo un po’ di decompressione e un po’ di uscite, ti sei abituato all’idea ed eri tu stesso a chiedermi di portarti a spasso

per poi cadere in un profondo sonno, stremato dalle emozioni e dalle scoperte…

   

Nel frattempo, continuavi a crescere, e un gatto junior che si rispetti da una mano in casa…

La tua specialità? lavatrice e stenditoio, ma forse non hai capito bene come funziona la cosa… una volta devo averti anche sgridato e tu per vendicarti mi hai srotolato tutto il rotolo della carta igienica… con quel faccino ingenuo e angelico che solo voi gatti potete fare… 

Sei un po’ monello, certo, ma sei anche tanto dolce…

ricordi la nostra capatina a trovare i nonni in casa di riposo? quanta gioia hai dispensato… d’altronde sono così simpatici (a parte qualche piccola eccezione) e morbidosi, soprattutto la nonna Eligia, vero?

Insomma, tutto questo non solo per farti gli auguri di buon “complemese” (oddio mi sembra di essere tornata quindicenne) ma anche per dirti che sei un micio favoloso e ti voglio bene!!

You are 6 months old today… and looking back at the first photos we’ve taken of you, it almost seems impossible that you now have become such a beautiful cat!

Those little ill eyes, the skinny paws and an all but timid voice that we very well remember from the first night you spent with us, all dirty and flea-bitten :)

I remember with affection your first meals, that you ate ravenously and greedily, with both forepaws in the plate :)

The first bath was both funny and moving… looking at your questioning face…

Then we took you home with us (and in our trip back from Croatia we nearly intoxicated you…) and our adventure began…

You made new friends and played a lot with everything that went under your paws…

And what about the first time I took you out with the leash to go to the park and walk in the grass… you didn’t know if you were more curious or scared… but then you got used to it and it was you that asked to go for a walk… and after our walks you irreparably fell asleep, destroyed by the emotions and discoverings of the day…

In the meantime you continued to grow and everybody knows a “junior cat” helps with home-chores… you speciality is laundry, but maybe you haven’t understood how it works exactly :)

Once I told you off and in revenge you unrolled the whole toilet paper roll… but you looked at the with that innocent face that only cats can have…

You are a rascal, but you are also so sweet… do you remember that time at the rest home? You made all of them so happy… after all, they are so nice and soft, expecially Eligia…

This all is to wish you a happy “6-months-anniversary” and to tell you I love you!
