• Vedere piano piano realizzarsi quello che avevo in mente per il matrimonio... vedremo prossima settimana se effettivamente il risultato sarà all'altezza delle aspettative (fingers crossed!)

• Prendere la corriera ogni tanto, e liberarmi quindi dell'incombenza di dover guidare.... rilassarmi con la musica nelle orecchie guardando il paesaggio...
• I ragazzini che si baciano all'esterno delle scuole prima di entrare in classe... mi ricorda quando il "morosotto" mi aspettata alla fermata del tram e mi accompagnava fino all'ingresso.... che tempi!! :)
  Nota: accidenti come sono le ragazzine delle medie (certe!) rispetto a come mi ricordo io... sono già delle piccole donne e si atteggiano come tali (e non so se sia una cosa tanto positiva...)

Lentil è un cucciolo di bulldog francese affetto da palatoschisi, una grave malformazione del palato. Nato in un allevamento del New Jersey il cane è stato abbandonato dopo che la sorella, affetta dalla stessa malformazione, è morta. A salvarlo ci ha pensato il French Bulldog Rescue Center del New Jersey e il cucciolo è stato adottato da una 34enne americana. La donna si occuperà delle cure mediche del cane, che viene nutrito attraverso un tubicino e che nei prossimi mesi dovrà essere sottoposto a un'operazione. Ma intanto Lentil, grazie a una pagina Facebook a lui dedicata dalla padrona, è diventato una star del web con quasi 60mila fan.

Lentil is a very special puppy. Born with a cleft palate and given up by his owners, he's already had it rough at just 6 weeks old.

But thanks to the French Bulldog Rescue Network and a loving new foster mom, he's doing just fine.

Lentil's condition means he'll soon need surgery to be able to eat properly and keep growing, his owner wrote on his blog. Lucky for him he's got almost 10,000 fans watching over him every day through his Facebook page and rooting for him to make it.

This little guy is a very big deal.

con Marco, nuovo progetto musicale, duo acustico folk/pop/blues/soul... prima serata qualche sabato fa, tanta emozione (e agitazione visto che avevo un gran mal di gola), tanta soddisfazione e divertimento...

06/04

e così riscoprire (e riadattare per voce femminile...) dei vecchi brani chiusi in qualche cassettino della mente.....

...e aggiungerne di quelli che ami e ti fanno vibrare le corde dell'anima a sentirli, figuriamoci a cantarli...

Che vita sarebbe senza musica?

I've not been posting my happy places lately so I have to sum up the last weeks which have included:

• Music

with Hilbilly Deluxe, the country-rock cover band I've been singing with for almost 8 years

with Nik Perry Blue & The Wouldon Boys, my mom's rock/pop cover band

with my friend Marco we recently put together a folk/pop/blues/soul duet. The first gig was a couple of weeks ago, a mix of emotions, lots of satisfaction and enjoyment.....

We added in the repertoire some old songs and some others that I love listening to, not to talk about singing them...

What would my life be without music?

• Finally picking up the package I won with manu's giveaway... love everything about it!
• Spa with my mom... and being the only people in there
• Pizza with a friend
• Thinking about crafty things to do for the above friend's marriage
• Surfing the web searching a nice dress for the friend's marriange and realizing that in a while I will be free from jackets and sweaters and will finally put on dresses, shorts, tops, sandals...
• Open wide the windows and let air and sunshine in :)
• Go skiing for the last time this season... :(
  The landscape was marvellous even if the weather was terrible

• Tisane... ultimamente sono fissata con quella di the bancha, zenzero, chiodi di garofano e cannella.
  Vogliamo parlare del profumo dello zenzero fresco? E poi ha un sacco di proprietà benefiche: antiossidante, antipiretico, antinfiammatorio, antinausea, digestivo, termogenico (cioé scalda) e se non bastasse è anche afrodisiaco ;)

• Infusions... lately I've been really addicted to an infusion made with bancha tea, ginger, cinnamon and clove.
  I love ginger aroma. And it has a lot of healthy properties: antioxidant, fever reducer, anti-inflammatory, anti-nausea, digestive, thermogenic (generates heat) and last but not least it's also aphrodisiac ;)
