The 100 days project / 2

Continua il progetto, anche se con pause più o meno lunghe dovute ad altri impegni, e alla mia capacità di procrastinare, non certo al non aver voglia di fare. Sto lavorando anche su questo.
I am continuing with the project, although with some pauses due to other commitments and my capacity to procrastinate, not the lack of will to do. I am working on this too..

E' stato poi il turno di un biglietto di ringraziamento per il matrimonio (a quasi un anno di distanza... noi tapini...)
Davvero semplicissimo: cartoncino a4 piegato a metà, ho attaccato una pattern, incollato la foto e scritto un piccolo grazie in un angolo con pennino e china (hvala significa grazie in croato).
I needed a thank you card for our wedding (after almost one year... our bad...)
Really simple, just an A4 cardstock folded in half and a patterned paper to close as an envelope, the photo and a simple thank you message

Per l'imminente vacanza mi sono voluto preparare un notebook dove annotare appunti di viaggio e iniziare a preparare le pagine da scrappare al rientro, cosa che ho trovato molto difficile senza avere le foto stampate (ciò significa che devo prendere una stampantina portatile :-P suggerimenti??)
We were leaving on holiday therefore I decided to prepare a notebook where to jot down notes and start preparing the paper to scrap, but I found it very difficult to work on the pages without having the printed photos (this means I need a portable printer :-P any suggestion?)

In vacanza ho fatto qualcosa ma non troppo, che senza foto, come dicevo, mi sono trovata in difficoltà.

Certo, ho suddiviso il quadernino organizzando le pagine con le varie giornate se non altro.

Uno dei primi giorni, seduti su una panchina, ho provato a disegnare quello che vedevo, poi colorato con gli acquerelli e delineato con una penna.

I still made something while on holiday, but not much because I really find it difficult to scrap without the printed photo.

Anyway, I organized the various pages of the notebook in preparation for the work to be done at home.

One of the first days, while seated on a bench, I tried to sketch what my eyes were seeing... then I colored it with watercolors and outlined everything with a black pen, adding some details.

Al rientro ho trovato una bella sorpresa, dalla nostra pilea è nata una baby pilea, un piccolo germoglietto nell'angolo del vaso, quindi ho voluto celebrare provando a disegnare un pezzettino di questa splendida pianta.

Back home I found a nice surprise, our pilea had grown a baby, a sweet little sprout in a corner of the vase, therefore that evening all I could think of was to celebrate by drawing a little piece of this wonderful plant.

Quella sera ero veramente stanca e non avevo le forze di cimentarmi con qualcosa di impegnativo, quindi mi sono limitata a preparare il mio bullet journal per il mese di maggio.

That evening I was really tired and coudn't deal with something too demanding, therefore I just prepared my bullet journal for the coming month of May.

Era da tempo che avevo quel ritaglio di mezzo busto sulla scrivania e volevo usarlo... non avevo molto tempo però, allora solo un po' di colore messo alla cavolo sulle pagine e un po' di journaling.

That magazine scrap had been patiently waiting on my desk for a long time... I didn't have many time to create therefore I just played with some red ink and wrote a short journaling.

Traveler's Notebook 2017

Sto continuando a riempire il mio Traveler's Notebook con le foto dello scorso anno (le prime pagine qui)
Con questo mini-album sto capendo davvero il valore di conservare i ricordi e come farlo, perché per quanto possano essere belli i LO, e per quanto mi piaccia farli, li trovo ancora un mezzo difficile e da dedicare a foto "particolari".
Il traveler's notebook mi fa sentire più rilassata... speriamo che a lungo andare si rifletta anche sui LO :-)

I am continuing with my Traveler's Notebook about last year (see the first pages here).
With this kind of mini-album I am really understanding the value of preserving memories and how to do it, because LOs are beautiful indeed, and I like to do them, but I still find them difficult and think they are destined to more "particular" photos/moments. Weird, I know, but I feel some relaxed working on a Travel's Notebook. Maybe in the long run this will affect the way I work on LOs too :-)

Per questa foto mi piaceva la pianta grassa in giardino :-) :-P
Sul lato destro ho incollato a tutta pagina un pezzo di pattern con le rose che adoro, con una penna nera ho tracciato i contorni delle rose per dare più definizione.
A sinistra invece ho disegnato con gli acquerelli una rosa e poi aggiunto alcuni adesivi con frasi e parole. Semplice e pulita.

I like the way this plant matches with the spread :-P :-)
On the right side, I pasted all-page a piece of patterned paper and outlined the roses with a black pen to give them higher definition.
On the left side, I painted a rose with watercolors and added some adhesive strips with words.
Clean and simple.

Ancora più semplice il prossimo spread.
Ovviamente non poteva mancare nell'album del 2017 una foto del matrimonio, una delle mie preferite.
Ho stampato e tagliato una cornice per la foto (timbro di Evoluzione Party disegnato da Veronica), un uccellino origami e fustellato un fiore tono su tono attaccato con un pezzetto di washi. Ho scritto la data, e fine! Per me c'è tutto l'essenziale :-)

The next spread is even cleaner and simpler.
Obviously my 2017 album couldn't miss a photo of our wedding, one of my favorites.
I just stamped and cut a frame, a little origami bird and cut out a flower which I attached with a astrip of washi. I wrote the date, and that's it! I think there's everything essential :-)

Album matrimonio / Wedding album

Ciao a tutti,
il primo album fatto con le foto del matrimonio è finito (già da un po' per la verità), questo è per i miei suoceri.
Devo dire che nonostante non ami fare album perchè richiedono molto tempo, mi è piaciuto tantissimo crearne la struttura e decorarlo, chissà che non sia l'inizio di un amore :-)

Prima di tutto ho pianificato le pagine guardando le foto che volevo aggiungere, per poi calcolare il numero di pagine necessarie. Non l'avevo mai fatto prima ma effettivamente aiuta poi nella realizzazione e rende tutto più coeso.
Ho scelto questa struttura -di cui non so il nome- facendo un dorso via via sempre più stretto per le pagine e poi incollandole una sopra l'altra.

Hello everybody,
I finally finished the first wedding album, made for my in-laws.
I have to say that even though I don't like making albums because they take long, I loved creating the structure and decorating it, it may be the beginning of a love story ;-)

First of all I planned the pages looking at the photos I decided to put in it, then calculating the needed pages. I had never carefully pre-planned an album but it actually helps.
I chose this structure -whose name I do not know- making a different size of spine for each sheet and then putting them on top of each other.

Per la copertina ho rivestito del cartoncino con del tessuto grigio a pois e decorato con pochi elementi.
For the cover I upholstered some thick cardstock with a grey dotted tissue and then decorated.

Come base cartoncino bianco e colori principalmente rosa con alcuni tocchi di azzurro e giallo, che attualmente è la mia combinazione di colori preferita, è fresca, leggera, allegra.
Ho risfoderato i punch per fare alcuni bordini, fustellate di fiori (tagliate con il mio nuovo gioellino regalo di Natale del marito, la Big Shot), due set di timbri con parole e fiori, che ho utilizzato in varie forme: stampati direttamente sulle pagine, rifilati con il taglierino per infilarci le foto, ritagliati e applicati come embellishment, tutti comunque colorati con acquerello rosa/fucsia.
Qualche foglio di vellum che secondo me alleggerisce e da un tocco elegante.

Ho messo insieme in questo album varie strutture imparate in corsi frequentati negli anni e devo ammettere che sono soddisfatta del risultato.

I used white cardstock as a base and decorated in pink with some shots of yellow and blue, which is currently my favorite color combination, it's fresh, light and cheerful.
Border punches, flower dies (which came with my brand new Christmas gift by my husband, the Big Shot), two stamps sets with words and flowers which I used in various ways: stamped directly on the pages, partially fussy cut to put photos under or completely cut as decoration, all painted with pink watercolor.
Some vellum sheets which in my opinion lighten the structure and adds an elegant touch.

I put together some structures I learned in various courses I attended during the years and I must say I am pretty satisfied with the result.

Il 2017 è stato un anno intenso e a tratti impegnativo per me, ricco di esperienze che voglio non dimenticare.
Mi è quindi venuta l'idea di dedicare al mio 2017 uno degli inserti della mia ManùDori, ripercorrere l'anno appena passato, in ordine cronologico come piace a me, iniziando dalla vacanza che abbiamo fatto a inizio anno, che nascondeva una bella sorpresa :-)
2017 has been an intense year for me, challenging at times but full of moments and experiences I don't want to forget.
So I decided to dedicate one of the notebooks of my ManùDori to 2017 in order to reminisce, in strict chronological order as I like ;-), the year just passed, starting from the holiday we had at the beginning of the year, which came with a nice surprise :-)

Le pagine successive sono dedicate rispettivamente a un meeting ASI e a un momento di vita quotidiana, con i miei gatti collassati nel loro posto preferito, il nostro letto :-)
Ho interposto tra le due facciate un foglio di vellum per dividere graficamente e concettualmente le due cose, essendo "argomenti" diversi.... sono pazza? :-P
The following pages are dedicated respectively to the first meeting of ASI (Italian Scrapbooking Association) and a moment of daily life, my cats sleeping on their favorite spot, our bed :-)
I inserted a vellum sheet between the two pages because I wanted to visually and conceptually divide them, since the subjects are different... am I crazy? :-D :-P

Ho usato ancora il kit messo insieme per Crea il tuo kit con Angela e Giorgia, devo averlo fatto proprio bene perché sto creando davvero tanto :-)

Anche le parole contano..

Avevo sulla scrivania da quasi due mesi il biglietto che accompagnava il mio regalo di Natale (la mia nuova big shot :-)), il rischio era quello di perderlo o addirittura buttarlo via insieme a tutte le cartacce... bisognava trovare il modo di conservarlo, e quale modo migliore di metterlo in un journal (un cahier Moleskine in questo caso).
The card I got with my Christmas present (my brand new big shot :-)) has been wandering on my desk for nearly two months, I was risking losing it or throwing it away by mistake... I needed to find a way to store it, and what's better than putting it in a journal? (a Moleskine cahier in this case)

Tranne i fiocchi di neve fustellati, il resto è tutto del kit di febbraio per Crea il tuo kit con Angela e Giorgia.
Everything from the kit I put together for Crea il tuo kit con Angela e Giorgia, except for the snow flakes.

Ho ancora qualche lavoro da fotografare con questo kit, quindi vi aspetto ancora qui :-)

Waiting for Spring / Aspettando la primavera

Il secondo progetto con il kit messo insieme per Crea il tuo kit con Angela e Giorgia (il primo qui), un LO per celebrare la primavera che si sta pian piano facendo sentire.
Domenica scorsa siamo scesi in giardino per smuovere la terra, togliere le erbacce e preparare tutto per quando sarà il momento di piantare.
Mi rilassa tantissimo questo pezzettino di verde da curare e veder germogliare i semi e sbocciare fiori e frutti è un'emozione unica.
E' il miracolo della natura che si compie proprio davanti ai miei occhi. Io lo trovo magnifico.
E' nato quindi questo LO:

The second project I made using my kit put together for Crea il tuo kit con Angela e Giorgia is a LO to celebrate spring which is finally starting to show up.
Last Sunday we worked in the garden, turned over the soil, pulled weeds, pruned roses and prepared for the moment when we will plant.
I love having a garden, it's relaxing for me to take care of plants and flowers, it's enchanting to see seeds sprout and grow flowers and fruits. 
It's the miracle of nature right in front of my eyes. It's great.
So I made this layout:

Book of special words

Non mi sembra vero, sono riuscita a partecipare a Crea il tuo Kit con Angela e Giorgia (ne avevo già parlato qui).
Ho tirato fuori carte veramente vecchie, addirittura del 2008!!!

Ecco il primo lavoro che ho finito, si tratta di un contenitore per le lettere, cartoline e bigliettini vari che negli anni mi ha scritto mia mamma.

Yes, finally I participated to Crea il tuo Kit con Angela e Giorgia (I talked about it here) and for my kit I took out some REALLY old papers (from 2008!!)

The first thing I made is a box to hold letters and cards from my mother.

Ho anche fatto lo screenshot di alcuni post di Facebook che mi ha scritto e alcune conversazioni sms e le ho inserite in una bustina.
I also screeshot some Fb posts and sms, printed them out and put them in an envelope.

Gli scritti sono tenuti insieme da un paio di giri di twine (altrimenti mi cadeva tutto fuori) e poi ciascun box è chiuso a sua volta da un nastro.
The letters and cards are kept together with some twine and each box is tied with some ribbon.

Semplice chiusura con patella e un tondino di feltro (che li avevo sempre in mezzo ai piedi ma l'altro giorno che mi servivano ci ho messo una vita a trovarli, capita anche a voi??)

The album is simply closed with a stripe of paper where I placed part of the "title" and a felt dot.

Era da una vita che volevo fare una cosa del genere, finalmente un po' di progettini vedono la luce :-)
This has been on my to do list for such a loooong time, I am happy that some projects are finally seeing the light :-)

Mamma: layout per Stuck?! Sketches

Per me gli sketch siamo una fonte importantissima d'ispirazione, a volte li seguo fedelmente, altre volte prendo solo spunto da certi elementi... sono utili anche per cambiare un po' e non usare sempre le stesse strutture.
L'ultimo sketch di Stuck?! Sketches mi è piaciuto proprio perché mi ha "costretta" a pensare un po' fuori dai miei schemi. E devo dire che questo layout si è creato praticamente da solo, tutto è andato al posto giusto subito, succede anche voi?

Sketches are a great source of inspiration for me, sometimes I faitfully follow them, while other times I take a cue from some elements... sketches are useful also to change and not always use the same structures.
The last Stuck?! Sketches forced me to think outisde of my box. And I have to say that this layout came together by itself, all the elements went immediately to the right place, does it happen to you too?

Adoro la combinazione giallo, rosa, azzurro, credo sia la mia preferita al momento :-)

I love the combination of yellow, blue and pink, I think it's my new favourite :-)

Scene da un matrimonio

Il 3 settembre festeggio i miei 34 anni e i 3 mesi di matrimonio (già??). Sto mettendo insieme qualche album/layout/altro con le foto di quel giorno, cercando di riviverne le mille emozioni e sensazioni.
Ecco qualcosina, ma proprio poco poco, so che siete curiosi di vedere un po' di foto ;-)

Mi piace molto questo trend dei Traveler's Notebook utilizzati come album, quindi mi sono detta "perché non dedicare un inserto della mia ManùDori al nostro matrimonio?". Devo dire che mi piace molto il formato e le possibilità che da scrappare su un quadernino, diverso dal fare un album o un layout.

On the 3rd September I will celebrate my 34th birthday and our 3-month wedding anniversary... I am currently working on some album/layouts/other with the photos of our special day, trying to relive the emotions and sensations. 
Here's just a sneak peek, I know you're curious to see some photos ;-)

I like the new Traveler's notebook trend, so I thought "why not scrapping some photos of our wedding in my notebook?". I live this format and the difference from other ways of scrapbooking like an album or layout.

Non poteva mancare un layout: uno sfondo di cuciture fatte a mano mettendoci tre giorni e causandomi un dolore tremendo al dito medio e indice della mano destra.... ma sono soddisfatta del risultato!

I had to do a layout too: some handmade stitching as the background which took me three days to do and caused some aches to my index and middle fingers... but I'm very happy with the result!

Per il momento tutto qui ma fidatevi, vi stuferete di vedere foto del nostro matrimonio in tutte le salse!! ;-)
Ah, poi arriveranno quelle della luna di miele... :-P ;-)
