Waiting for Spring / Aspettando la primavera

Il secondo progetto con il kit messo insieme per Crea il tuo kit con Angela e Giorgia (il primo qui), un LO per celebrare la primavera che si sta pian piano facendo sentire.
Domenica scorsa siamo scesi in giardino per smuovere la terra, togliere le erbacce e preparare tutto per quando sarà il momento di piantare.
Mi rilassa tantissimo questo pezzettino di verde da curare e veder germogliare i semi e sbocciare fiori e frutti è un'emozione unica.
E' il miracolo della natura che si compie proprio davanti ai miei occhi. Io lo trovo magnifico.
E' nato quindi questo LO:

The second project I made using my kit put together for Crea il tuo kit con Angela e Giorgia is a LO to celebrate spring which is finally starting to show up.
Last Sunday we worked in the garden, turned over the soil, pulled weeds, pruned roses and prepared for the moment when we will plant.
I love having a garden, it's relaxing for me to take care of plants and flowers, it's enchanting to see seeds sprout and grow flowers and fruits. 
It's the miracle of nature right in front of my eyes. It's great.
So I made this layout:

Lo sfondo non è una novità, lo so, già visto millemila volte, ma mi piaceva troppo, lo volevo fare da un sacco di tempo e avevo il nuovo timbro di Evoluzione Party disegnato dalla mia amica Veronica.... grazie Vero :-*

I know the background is nothing new, already seen a thousand times, but I liked it and I've been wanting to do it for a long time, and I had the new stamp by Evoluzione Party designed by my friend Veronica.

Mamma: layout per Stuck?! Sketches

Per me gli sketch siamo una fonte importantissima d'ispirazione, a volte li seguo fedelmente, altre volte prendo solo spunto da certi elementi... sono utili anche per cambiare un po' e non usare sempre le stesse strutture.
L'ultimo sketch di Stuck?! Sketches mi è piaciuto proprio perché mi ha "costretta" a pensare un po' fuori dai miei schemi. E devo dire che questo layout si è creato praticamente da solo, tutto è andato al posto giusto subito, succede anche voi?

Sketches are a great source of inspiration for me, sometimes I faitfully follow them, while other times I take a cue from some elements... sketches are useful also to change and not always use the same structures.
The last Stuck?! Sketches forced me to think outisde of my box. And I have to say that this layout came together by itself, all the elements went immediately to the right place, does it happen to you too?

Adoro la combinazione giallo, rosa, azzurro, credo sia la mia preferita al momento :-)

Scene da un matrimonio

Il 3 settembre festeggio i miei 34 anni e i 3 mesi di matrimonio (già??). Sto mettendo insieme qualche album/layout/altro con le foto di quel giorno, cercando di riviverne le mille emozioni e sensazioni.
Ecco qualcosina, ma proprio poco poco, so che siete curiosi di vedere un po' di foto ;-)

Mi piace molto questo trend dei Traveler's Notebook utilizzati come album, quindi mi sono detta "perché non dedicare un inserto della mia ManùDori al nostro matrimonio?". Devo dire che mi piace molto il formato e le possibilità che da scrappare su un quadernino, diverso dal fare un album o un layout.

On the 3rd September I will celebrate my 34th birthday and our 3-month wedding anniversary... I am currently working on some album/layouts/other with the photos of our special day, trying to relive the emotions and sensations. 
Here's just a sneak peek, I know you're curious to see some photos ;-)

I like the new Traveler's notebook trend, so I thought "why not scrapping some photos of our wedding in my notebook?". I live this format and the difference from other ways of scrapbooking like an album or layout.

Non poteva mancare un layout: uno sfondo di cuciture fatte a mano mettendoci tre giorni e causandomi un dolore tremendo al dito medio e indice della mano destra.... ma sono soddisfatta del risultato!

I had to do a layout too: some handmade stitching as the background which took me three days to do and caused some aches to my index and middle fingers... but I'm very happy with the result!

Per il momento tutto qui ma fidatevi, vi stuferete di vedere foto del nostro matrimonio in tutte le salse!! ;-)
Ah, poi arriveranno quelle della luna di miele... :-P ;-)

Miglior citazione non potevo provare per queste foto, o meglio per le sensazioni che provo quasi ogni giorno durante il tragitto che da casa mi porta a lavoro.
I couldn't find a better quote for these photos, or better, for the emotions I feel nearly every day on my way to my workplace. 

Ho quindi voluto dedicare un layout al lago, il Lago di Garda, che contribuisce a rendere un po' più speciali le mie giornate.
So I wanted to dedicate a page to the lake, Garda Lake, that contributes to make my days a tad more special.

Finalmente è arrivato marzo e con lui le giornate più lunghe, i primi caldi, nuove gemmi, fiori che sbocciano, le prime passeggiate in maniche corte... Quanto mi piace!! :-)
Questo mese noi di Picture This! vi proponiamo una moodboard, la trovate sul blog.
Ecco la mia interpretazione:

Here's my take:

Pois, gocce, cerchi e un pizzico di luccichio per richiamare questa splendida moodboard di grande ispirazione.
Polka dots, drops, circles and a little sparkle to recall this inspiring moodboard.

E il journaling scritto a macchina tagliato poi a strisce che mi piace un casino. Anche se preferisco la scrittura a mano, lo trovo molto ordinato e in certi casi rende meglio.

And the journaling written with the typewriter cut in strips, that I adore. Although I prefer handwriting I find it's really neat and it has a better output in some cases.

Brenda

Brenda è una gattina dolcissima che ho trovato sola soletta su una stradina vicino a casa mia e appena sono scesa dalla macchina mi è corsa incontro miagolando con una matta e quando mi sono chinata per prenderla mi è saltata in braccio e si è fatta coccolare.... mi sono subito innamorata di lei :-)
Era minuscola (anche se dalla foto sembra grande il doppio) e continuava ad attraversare la strada, temevo che l'avrebbero investita, quindi me la sono portata a casa.
Peccato che non abbiamo potuto tenerla con noi, ma ha una nuova famiglia che la ama!

Brenda is a super sweet kitten I found near my home and as soon as I opened my car door she came to me meowing like crazy and she jumped in my arms and asked for cuddles... I totally fell in love with her :-)
She was so tiny (although she seems so big in the photo) and kept crossing the street, I feared she would get hit by a car, so I took her home :-)
Unfortunately we couldn't keep her but she surely has a new family who loves her!

Ecco svelata la sorpresa!!

Abbiamo pensato di farvi conoscere meglio il nostro DT, composto da undici creative che hanno e usano stili e tecniche diversi, per accontentare tutti i gusti e per ispirarvi sempre.

Tornando al tema del Blog Hop “…it’s in the Air”, che significa “…è nell’aria”, ogni ragazza del DT ha scelto un tema per la sua sfida e il mio è “3 o più foto sono nell’aria”.

Usate tre foto diverse, tre foto uguali, un foto da photobooth, foto di uguali dimensioni o tutte diverse, l’importante è che ce ne siano 3 o più.

Questa è la mia interpretazione, ho voluto sfidare me stessa, io che di solito metto 1 o massimo 2 foto nei miei layout.

Alcune foto con il mio gattello carino :-)

Ho attaccato alcune strisce di carta al bazzil con la macchina da cucire e poi ho rialzato i bordi per creare un po' di volume.

Some photos with my cutie cat :-)

I sewed some strips of patterned paper to the bazzil then folded all the edges to create some volume.

Ho scritto il journaling con la macchina da scrivere, poi tagliato tutto a strisce e attaccato con del biadesivo spessorato.

I wrote the journaling with my typewriter, cut it in strips and attached it using some foam tape.

Qualche die cut, delle stelline rosse e un bell'alfabeto nero, e per finire delle gocce di colore bianco e una cucitura tutto intorno al bordo del layout.

Some die cuts, little red stars and a big bold black alphabet, some white paint drops and a sewing all around the borders.

Picture This! sfida gennaio / January challenge: mixed media

Ben ritrovati e BUON ANNO NUOVO!!
Ho sentito molte persone dire che il 2016, a conferma del detto "anno bisesto anno funesto", è stato un anno terribile sotto molti punti di vista, spero veramente per tutti che il 2017 sia un anno migliore.

Welcome back and HAPPY NEW YEAR you all!!
There's a lot of talking about how bad 2016 has been as a year, so I hope 2017 will be a better year for everybody.

Il primo del mese come sapete è il consueto appuntamento con la sfida mensile di Picture This! e abbiamo voluto proporvi un mixed media.
Per chi, come me all'inizio, non sa cosa sia, proviamo a spiegarlo un po'. Da una breve ricerca che ho fatto, potremmo definire il mixed media come facente parte della cosiddetta "arte polimaterica", cioè "l'introduzione di materiali anomali nell'opera pittorica, in grado di amplificarne le possibilità espressive con l'apporto di caratteristiche normalmente incompatibili con la pittura (effetti tridimensionali, tattili, volumetrici ecc.)" (fonte Artonweb) o più semplicemente "Utilizzazione di più materiali diversi nella realizzazione di opere d'arte figurative" (fonte Hoepli).
Le più "scafate" forse potranno smentire, confermare o aggiungere, fatelo liberamente.
Insomma il mixed media lascia ampio margine di lavoro e inventiva, potete utilizzare tutto quello che volete.
Se vi serve un po' d'ispirazione, cercate semplicemente "mixed media" o "mixed media scrapbooking" su google e troverete una miriade di progetti dai più semplici ai più elaborati, nonché video tutorial.
As you know the first day of the month is also the day of a new challegne at Picture This! and this month we want to inspire you with a mixed media challenge.
For those of you who do not know what mixed media is, like me at the beginning, you can find a thorough description on Wikipedia.
If you need some inspiration simply search in google images and you'll discover a world.

Io sono ben lungi dall'essere un'esperta e ho ancora davvero molto da imparare su questa tecnica, ma mi piace pasticciare e ogni volta imparo qualcosa di diverso dai colori, dai materiali e le modalità con cui li utilizzo.
I am surely not an expert and have still a lot to learn, but I like to play and I learn something new every time from the colors, the materials and the ways I used them.

Ho spalmato un sottile strato di gesso acrilico su una buona metà del mio layout, dopo averlo fatto asciugare, ne ho spalmato un altro po' utilizzando uno stencil (quei quadratini che si vedono sono infatti gesso in rilievo).
I spread a thin layer of gesso on half of the page and after it was dry I spread some more using a stencil.

Ho messo su un piattino di plastica una goccia di Color Theory ink refill di Studio Calico in tre colori, due blu (Deja blue e Something blue - sono molto intensi quindi li ho diluiti parecchio) e un grigio (Clean slate - poco intenso, avevo messo troppa acqua quindi ho dovuto fare una seconda passata), e con un pennello ben intriso d'acqua li ho spalmati sulla parte coperta dal gesso, infine con uno spruzzino ho coperto d'acqua per spargere meglio i colori.
Qualche timbrata ton sur ton completa lo sfondo. Per finire il layout ho semplicemente fatto un po' di layering sotto la foto e con i ritaglini ho creato un "rimando" nell'angolo opposto, dove ho messo il titolo scritto con un alfabeto negli stessi colori del layout.
I then used Studio Calico Color Theory ink refills in three colors, two blues (Deja Blue and Something Blue, which are pretty intense so I diluted them with lots of water) and a grey (Clean slate, it's rather subtle, therefore I had to do a second layer because I used too much water). I layered them all over the gessoed part with a wet brush and sprayed some more water.
I stamped in the area of my photo with ton sur ton colors, layered my photo with some patterned papers and used some strips to create visual balance on the opposite edge, where I wrote the title with a sticker alphabet in the layout colors.

Davvero molto semplice, non fatevi spaventare e buttatevi!!

"Crea il tuo Kit con Angela e Giorgia" novembre 2016 - il layout

Mi viene bene fare lavori semplici, non riesco a metterci tanta roba... così come le mini-card e il mini-album, anche questo layout segue questa "linea".
I love clean-and-simple, I usually have to force myself to add things... like my first project with my November's kit, the mini-cards, also this layout follows that style.

Uno dei favolosi tramonti di Rovigno. Qualcuno potrebbe pensare che i tramonti siano tutti uguali, ma credo che qui ogni giornata offra colori e scenari ed emozioni diversi.

Sarà che ci scorre anche sangue rovignese nelle vene, ma questo posto è davvero magico.

It's one of the amazing sunsets in Rovinj. Some people probably think that sunsets are alla alike, but I think every day offers different colors and scenario and emotions.

Maybe it's because we have Rovignese blood in our veins, but this place is really magical.

Picture This! sfida dicembre / December challenge: forme geometriche / shapes

Che meraviglia, io adoro le geometrie, quindi questo mese per me è andata alla grande!! :-)
Ho voluto fare un layout in onore di una delle mie serie tv preferite (se non LA preferita), e del suo grande ritorno (piuttosto deludente, col senno di poi), Una mamma per amica (Gilmore Girls).
I love geometries, therefore this month's challenge at Picture This! was great for me! :-)
I have made a page in honour of one of my favorite TV series and its big return (rather disappointing, I woud say...), Gilmore Girls.

Comunque nemmeno questo sequel mi rovinerà la nostra serie, mia e di mia mamma. Dico la nostra perchè ci riconosciamo tantissimo in Lorelai e Rory, abbiamo un bellissimo rapporto fatto anche di amicizia e confidenze, ci scambiamo battute che capiamo solo noi, spesso capita di pensare la stessa cosa contemporaneamente :-)
But I won't let this sequel ruin our serie, mine and my mother's. We recognize in Lorelai and Rory, we have a special bond, we are friends and confindents, we make jokes that only us understand, we often think the same thing at the same moment :-)

Ho utilizzato una carta con dei triangolini (anche se manca uno dei lati) come base, aggiunto un'altra carta a formare dei triangoli sopra alla foto e dei ritagli con delle mezze sfere sotto.
Si tratta in realtà di uno scraplift di questo bellissimo layout di Raquel Bowman che aspettava da tempo sul mio Pinterest.
I used a paper with little triangles (though one side is missing) as the base, then added another one to form some triangles above the photo and some scraps with half-spheres below.
I have scraplifted this wonderful page by Raquel Bowman.

Layout Barcelona love

Erano mesi che avevo lì queste foto di Barcellona, finalmente ho trovato il modo di scrapparle... tutte in un unico layout :-)
I had these photos I took in Barcelona waiting to be scrapped since 2013!!! Finally I found a way to put them all in a page :-)

Avevo questo "folder stack" che non aspettava altro che essere utilizzato e zac... ho avuto l'illuminazione!! :-P
I also had this "floder stack" and I gave a sudden idea!!

Ho seguito lo sketch di Stuck?! Sketches e il tris di Fate le Creative, scegliendo scotch carta, forme geometriche e gocce di colore.

Ho riscoperto il glossy accent: le mie lettere erano grezze, le ho colorate con un pennarellino blu poi "glassate"... effetto favoloso, come nuove!!

I rediscovered glossy accent: my alphabet was raw, I colored the letters with a blue marker then covered them with the "gel"... it worked great, they are as new!!

This is my take:

Come al solito qualche dettaglio.

Mi piace l'effetto del colore con la texture della carta. 

Per le crocette ho timbrato e embossato con polvere bianca.

Alcune timbrate in nero e grigio e qualche abbellimento fanno il resto.

Here are some details.

I like the effect of color and paper texture.

For the little crosses, I simply stamped and them embossed with white embossing powder.

Some black and grey stampings and some embellishments finish off the page.

Picture This! Sfida 15 ottobre / 15th October challenge: mood board

E' il 15 ottobre  e questo significa nuova sfida sul blog di Picture This!

Halloween si avvicina quindi vi proponiamo una mood board a tema.

Il mio layout è molto semplice perché la carta che ho utilizzato come base è già molto ricca di suo. È una carta vecchissima, una delle prime che ho comprato nel lontano 2008 poco dopo aver scoperto lo scrap... mi piacevano da morire queste carte, adesso credo non la ricomprerei, non so se perché ho cambiato gusti o se perché seguo anch'io le mode scrap del momento... ci pensate anche voi a questa cosa? 

Ma torniamo alla sfida, ecco la mia pagina:

It's the 15th today!! (Already!!!) This means a new challenge at Picture This!
Halloween is coming, and we propose you a mood board.

I kept my page really simple since the paper I used as a background is really rich. It's a very old paper, one of the first I bought back in 2007/2008 when I discovered scrapbooking. I loved this kind of papers so much, now I provably would not buy it and I wonder of the reason is that I changed my preferences or maybe I just follow the current trend. Doyou also think about it or is it just me? 

Back to the challenge, here's my layout:

Picture This! Sfida 1 Ottobre / 1st October Challenge

È arrivato l'autunno!!
Colori caldi, tisane sul divano con la copertina e il fuoco acceso, passeggiate nel bosco :-)

Autumn has come!
Warm colors, a hot tea on the couch under a blanket with the crackling fire, walks in the woods :-)

Io però sono appena tornata dalle ferie e voglio illudermi che l'estate non sia ancora finita....

Per realizzare lo sfondo ho quindi preso spunto dal bellissimo tramonto fotografato a Rovigno: ho spalmato un po' di gesso e una volta asciutto ho spruzzato un po' di mist (Lucille Mister Huey's di Studio Calico) qua e là...

Non contenta ho preso lo spruzzino con la soluzione di acqua e acido citrico che uso per pulire e ho spruzzato anche quello, ottenendo un simpatico effetto.

L'àncora, che ho timbrato in colore tono su tono, si adatta bene al tema marittimo... ho aggiunto poi altri timbri, tagliato dei piccoli rombi, aggiunto qualche brad decorativa e sotto la foto tre carte separate da del cartone corrugato (che fa l'effetto del biadesivo spessorato ma è più economico :-))

Nonetheless I have just come back from my vacation and I want to delude myself into thinking that it's still Summer...

For the background then, I took inspiration from the beautiful sunset photo I took in Rovinj: I spread some gesso and once dry I sprayed some red mist.

I was not really happy so I sprayed some water/citric acid solution (the one I use to clean the kitchen :-P) and it created a nice effect.

I think the anchor well suits the maritime theme, I stamped it with the same color, then added other stamps in black and grey, some diamond-shaped cut outs, three layers of paper under the photo (separated with corrugated board which works like foam tape - but its not as expensive ;-)) and some brads.

Picture This! Sfida 15 settembre / 15th September challenge: stelle / stars

Un mese è passato dalla notte di San Lorenzo, e noi di Picture This! vogliamo vedere sui vostri layout taaaaaante stelle :-)
Io ho provato a rimanere col naso all'insù, ma quest'anno non ho visto nemmeno una stella cadente, e di desideri da esprimere ne avrei avuti tanti ;-)

San Lorenzo shooting stars night was about one month ago, we at Picture This! want to see maaaaaany stars on your layouts :-)
I have spent some time looking for a shooting star but I haven't seen any, so I could not make any wish ;-)

E voi avete guardato le stelle ed espresso qualche desiderio??
